Pakistan cricket’s streak of complaints continues, this time targeting the third umpire’s decision in the high-voltage India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 clash. The controversy arose when Fakhar Zaman was declared out after Sanju Samson claimed a low catch. The third umpire, Ruchira Palliyaguruge, reviewed the footage and ruled that the ball appeared to have carried cleanly into the gloves without bouncing.

However, Pakistan argued that the umpire did not use all available angles and lacked sufficient proof to make such a call. Following the incident, Pakistan reportedly attempted to file a complaint with match referee Andy Pycroft and later escalated the matter to the ICC. Even in the post-match press conference, Salman Ali Agha expressed his disappointment with the ruling.

While the ICC has not acted on Pakistan’s claims, the PCB’s pattern of post-defeat complaints has once again sparked debate in the cricketing world.
