Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been banned from the IPL, but Pakistan has opened the doors for him to play in the PSL. In the IPL auction, he was bought by KKR for a whopping ₹9.20 crore. However, now he will neither get the chance to play nor receive that money.

According to Cricbuzz, Mustafizur Rahman is expected to be seen playing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026, which starts alongside IPL 2026. On Tuesday, 6 January 2026, it was reported that Mustafizur Rahman has joined the PSL, as hinted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). However, an official announcement regarding which team he will play for is still awaited.

One thing is clear: the amount he would have received in the IPL is likely less than 10% of what he might earn in the Pakistan Super League.
