The legendary Chennai Super Kings player Mahendra Singh Dhoni is now over 44 years old. It’s been five years since he retired from international cricket, but his passion and enthusiasm for the IPL are still alive and strong.
For the past two seasons, there have been constant speculations about Dhoni’s retirement from the IPL, but he doesn’t seem ready to leave the field just yet. CSK’s CEO, Kasi Viswanathan, has confirmed that Dhoni is not retiring from the IPL. This means he will once again be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in 2026.
However, reports suggest that Ruturaj Gaikwad is likely to take over the captaincy of the team, while MS Dhoni will continue to play as a wicketkeeper-batter.
