Team India

Team India on Thursday (June 3) landed in England ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand and the five-match Test series against the hosts.

India’s men’s and women’s cricket teams boarded the chartered plane to the UK on Wednesday. Both squads will now undergo quarantine and are expected to be allowed to train during the isolation period.

Since the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) now allows the family members of the players to accompany them, the wives and children of players have also arrived in the UK.

The Virat Kohli-led side will kick off their tour with the final of the World Test Championship against New Zealand, which will be played from June 18 to 22 in Southampton.

After the marquee clash, Team India will have a 40-day break as the five-match Tests series kicks off on August 4. The men’s team will play a couple of intra-squad matches before the series against the hosts.

The women’s team, on the other hand, is scheduled to play one-off Test match, starting from June 16, 3 ODIs and as many T20Is against England. While the three ODIs will be played on June 27, 30 and July 3, the three T20Is will take place on July 9, 11 and 15.
