VIKRAM RATHOUR BIO


Vikram Rathour, born in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, was a right-handed opening batsman known for his prolific run-scoring in domestic cricket, particularly for Punjab in the 1990s. Despite a brief and challenging international career (1996–1997), he excelled in first-class cricket, scoring over 11,000 runs. After retiring in 2003, he transitioned into coaching, serving as India’s batting coach (2019–2024), contributing to their 2024 T20 World Cup victory. He has also coached Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and IPL teams, and served as a national selector.
