Jaker Ali Anik is a talented Bangladeshi wicketkeeper-batter, known for his composure and finishing abilities. He made his first-class debut in 2016 for Sylhet Division, impressing with 88 runs in his first innings. He was part of Bangladesh’s squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and made his List A debut the following year. His domestic performances, especially in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), earned him a place in the national team.

Ali made his T20I debut during the 2024 Asian Games, helping Bangladesh secure a bronze medal. He soon became a regular in the T20I setup, scoring his maiden T20I fifty against Sri Lanka.

His ODI journey spanned 280 matches, where he scored 8,037 runs with 8 centuries and 49 fifties, maintaining a strike rate of 71.49. Though his T20I presence was brief, he contributed 110 runs in 5 matches. Fleming’s domestic First-Class career was equally prolific, with over 16,000 runs, while in List A cricket, he accumulated 14,019 runs.

In the T20 circuit, including the IPL, where he played for Chennai Super Kings, he scored 196 runs in 10 matches. Known more for his captaincy and batting prowess than bowling, his contribution with the ball was minimal. Fleming remains a revered figure in world cricket, both for his calm demeanor on the field and his tactical brilliance, which later translated into a successful coaching career.
