Shadley van Schalkwyk is a left-hand batsman and right-arm medium bowler who plays for the Eagles and Free State cricket teams. He made his List A debut for Western Province in February 2008 and his first-class debut nine months later, but has not yet secured a permanent place in the Eagles’ first-class or one-day squads. He was a regular in the Eagles’ squad for the inaugural 2009 Champions League Twenty20 tournament. Van Schalkwyk made his T20I debut for Canada against the United States in April 2024.

Shadley van Schalkwyk is a left-arm fast bowler who plays for the Eagles and Free State cricket teams. A product of the renowned Wynberg Boys’ High School, whose alumni include cricket greats Jacques Kallis and Allan Lamb, van Schalkwyk first impressed with his batting
during a 2006 school tour to Pakistan. This performance earned him a spot in the South African Academy. Van Schalkwyk made his List A debut for Western Province in February 2008, but his first-class debut nine months later was less impactful. While he has not yet secured a permanent place in the Eagles’ first-class or one-day squads, he was a regular in their 2009 Pro20 series.
