Two greats of the cricketing world, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara would be face to face once again, although not in the fiercest of the competitive ways, they used to be in their playing days. Road Safety World Series, a cricket tournament to spread awareness about road safety in India, has brought the legends together. The series would begin on March 7.

This series will also see the likes of Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Zaheer Khan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Brett Lee, Brad Hodge, Jonty Rhodes, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tillakaratne Dilshan and Ajantha Mendis donning the cricket kits once again.

The opening game of the tournament will be played at the Wankhede Stadium and a total of 11 matches will be played over the course of 15 days. Five teams – India Legends, Sri Lanka Legends, Australia Legends, South Africa Legends, and West Indies Legends – will fight for the ultimate prize in the 20- Over tournament.

Four stadiums including Wankhede will host the 11 matches. Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune and D Y Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai will host four matches each. The Brabourne Stadium is the venue for the final match. Sachin and Lara were recently seen playing in Australia’s Bushfire match.
