Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who scored a magnificent hundred, his third in T20 internationals, has dedicated it to none other than his friend Sudan, the world’s last male northern white rhino. He died earlier this year.
Taking to Twitter, Rohit Sharma wrote: “Yesterday’s innings is dedicated to my fallen friend Sudan. May we find a way to make this world a better place for all of us.”

Rohit Sharma is not the first cricketer to raise awareness towards wildlife conservation, with Kevin Pietersen fighting for this cause for a long duration.
At the time of Sudan’s death, KP had lambasted the entire human community for falling to preserve the beautiful creatures of nature. He also urged to work towards saving the remaining rhinos who were left.
