Ahead of the match between arch rivals India and Pakistan at the ongoing World Cup, an advertisement aired by a Pakistani channel, has rubbed the Indian fans in a wrong way. The advert mocks Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman’s capture after his plane was shot down by Pakistan Air Force.
The ad released by Pakistan’s Jazz TV shows a man sporting a blue jersey and looking like Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman with his trademark moustache.
When he is asked to reveal Team India’s strategy if they went on to win the toss against Pakistan, his reply was pretty similar to what Abhinandan had said when he was in custody of Pakistan.
“I’m sorry, I am not supposed to tell you this.”

India and Pakistan will play against each other on June 16. Men in Blue have won both of their matches in the World Cup while Pakistan have managed to register just one win.
India have never lost to Pakistan in a World Cup match since the inception of marquee tournament.
