The picture isn’t rosy for the Pakistan cricket team even after reaching England.
Due to the coronavirus situation, England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) was allowed to make its own rules. They have been exempted from providing a five-star hotel stay to the visitors.
Taking the whole situation into account, ECB has arranged three-star hotels for the Pakistan team in both Worcester and Derby. The team wasn’t even allowed to dine together as many other guests were staying in the same hotel in Worcester.

Social distancing is the most important part of the ECB’s plan
A report in Cricket Pakistan claimed that this was done to maintain a ‘bio-secure environment’ for the team. The first match of the three-match series will start from 5th August at Old Trafford. The next two matches will be played in Southampton.
Apart from a three-match Test series, the two teams will also play a three-match T20I series. England chose Manchester and Southampton to avoid unnecessary travel as these stadiums have attached hotels for accommodation.
