Ashish Nehra has been coaching Gujarat Titans since 2022. The franchise won the IPL title in their maiden season and then made it to the final in 2023. GT player Shahrukh Khan has lauded the legendary pacer for his inspirational coaching. Nehra gets involved in every game and is seen talking to all the players from the dugout.
However, he has lost his cool in some of the matches in the Indian Premier League 2025. Ahead of their match against Lucknow Super Giants, Shahrukh mentioned that Nehra is not an animated but an intelligent coach. The GT batter said that the coach cares about his players, and that’s why he looks angry at times.

Shubman Gill is leading the team for the two seasons, and he is also learning new things. The combination of Gill and Nehra is good for the team. They are working closely,” Shahrukh said.

Gujarat Titans are leading the table with eight points from five games. After losing the opening match against Punjab Kings, the 2022 champions have returned to form. Shahrukh said the plans are flexible and change it according to the situation of the game.
“GT have a balanced team. We play good cricket and don’t believe in extravagant things. The team management is flexible, and we change our plans if the situation demands. We stay grounded irrespective of the outcome. The team atmosphere is stable, and everyone knows what is needed,” he added.
