Zimbabwe have announced the 15-man squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to take place in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Sikandar Raza has been given the responsibility to lead the side as Zimbabwe look to compete against the best teams in the world. The selectors haven’t made surprising changes, with only fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani being added to the squad after recovering from an injury. He will lead the pace attack alongside Richard Ngarava, Bradley Evans and Tinotenda Maposa.
The spin department is looking settled with Graeme Cremer and Wellington Masakadza in the line-up. The batting unit looks solid with the presence of young and experienced players.
Brian Bennett and Tadiwanashe Marumani will be eager to prove themselves in the global tournament, while wicketkeeper-batter Brendan Taylor is an experienced campaigner.
All-rounder Ryan Burl can win matches with the bat and ball, while Tashinga Musekiwa, Clive Madande, Tony Munyonga, and Dion Myers are good players. Zimbabwe, Australia, Ireland, Oman and Sri Lanka are in Group B, and the two teams will advance to the Super Eight stage of the World Cup.
Zimbabwe will play their first game against Oman at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo on February 9 before taking on Australia at the R. Premadasa Stadium on February 13.
Their third game is against Ireland at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on February 17 before competing against Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium on February 19.
