Reacting to Gambhir's statement, Adam Zampa termed Gambhir's take as an interesting one but he even backed his own teammate.

The semi-final game between Australia and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup had ignited a debate on the spirit of the game. Actually, David Warner had smashed a six on a two-bounce delivery bowled by Mohammad Hafeez. Cricket experts and fans came up with various opinions. Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir slammed the left-handed batter for hitting a six and added that it was a pathetic display of the spirit of the game.

Reacting to Gambhir’s statement, Adam Zampa termed Gambhir’s take as an interesting one but he even backed his own teammate.

“What a pathetic display of the spirit of the game by David Warner,” tweeted Gambhir earlier on his shot off Mohammad Hafeez.

“It’s an interesting take from Gautam Gambhir. It’s a pretty big effort from David Warner and I think he had every right to,” said Adam Zampa on the ABC Grandstand podcast.

He also spoke about Mankading and whether he would opt for a controversial mode of dismissal if the need arises.

“It has never happened to me and I hope it never does. Mankad’s an interesting one. I haven’t done it but I won’t say I won’t either. Watch out if you are on the non-striker’s end,” Zampa added.
