Yuzvendra Chahal and Viswanathan Anand will compete in a chess game to raise funds for Covid-19 relief. The former world chess champion will be up against Chahal, Ritiesh Deshmukh, Aamir Khan, Arijit Singh, Ananya Birla and Manu Kumar Jain. The India spinner revealed the news to his fan. He shared a story posted by wife Dhanashree Verma, where she had talked about the development and applauded her husband.

Anand also updated his fans on Twitter and wrote: “Looking forward to playing some exciting chess.”

Chahal represented India at the World Youth Chess Championship. He was last seen in action during the Indian Premier League where he represented Royal Challengers Bangalore. The tournament was postponed midway through the season due to a rise in COVID-19 cases.

He was recently selected for the tour of Sri Lanka, where the Men in Blue will compete in the ODIs and T20Is.
