Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh feels that his career would have been cut short had his mate and former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh been the captain of the national team. The legendary spinner reckons that every captain he played under, picked him based on his performance.
Bhajji, who made his debut in in 1998, played his last game for the country in 2016. The 41-year-old said that it is important for the leader to do what the team needs before anything else. Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan played together for years and were also teammates in the two World Cup triumphs.
Meanwhile, Harbhajan also feels that Yuvraj would have been a great captain. “If Yuvraj would have been the captain, we would have had to sleep early and wake up early. He would have been a great leader. Yuvi was a champion cricketer and he won the Player of the Tournament in the 2011 World Cup.”
