Yuvraj Singh was one of the biggest match-winners for Team India, but he couldn’t carry on after the World Cup in 2011. The southpaw was diagnosed with cancer, and after recovering from the deadly disease, he was not the same player.
The former all-rounder has made bold statements after his retirement in 2019. According to him, he was unfairly treated by the selectors and team management at the fag end of his career. In a recent interaction, Yuvraj stated that not everyone gets support from the captain and coach.
He further claimed that the Indian dressing room changed completely after 2011, and players like Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh were not treated fairly.
“MS Dhoni got all the support from Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri towards the end of his career and he even played in 2019 World Cup. However, Harbhajan Singh, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, and Gautam Gambhir were treated differently,” he said.
Yuvraj played under Dhoni and Virat after the global event in 2011.
