The Legends League Cricket saw a heated exchange between Yusuf Pathan and Mitchell Johnson during Bhilwara Kings and India Capitals’ match.

The two charged at each other after the legendary Aussie pacer dismissed the Indian batter. The left-arm quick pushed Pathan aside. Things could have turned ugly had the match officials not intervened.

Fresh details on the incident have emerged out of Australia that the altercation started after Yusuf’s bad behavior with the female umpire Kim Cotton.

After the final delivery of Johnson’s third over was not given wide, Pathan sledged Cotton for her decision, which Johnson didn’t like.

“Mitch [Johnson] did nothing. [Pathan] was sledging the female umpires,” Fox Cricket Australia quoted a player saying, who decided to keep his identity anonymous.

Legends League Cricket commissioner Ravi Shastri fined Johnson 50 percent of his match fee, while Yusuf didn’t face any action.

“We don’t want to see bad behavior as cricket should be played with the right spirit. We gave a clear message that such incidents will not be tolerated,” said Raman Raheja, CEO and Co-Founder of Legends League Cricket.
