U19 World Cup-winning captain Yash Dhull has been selected in the Delhi squad for the Ranji Trophy 2022. He scored a brilliant 110 in the semi-final against the Australian that booked India’s place in the finale against England. The 19-year old has registered for the IPL 2022 mega auction and is expected to start a bidding war.
He has set a time frame of 18 months to play for India and doesn’t want to be compared with star cricketers. He is the third skipper from Delhi to lead the Boys in Blue to the U-19 World Cup title. Earlier, Virat Kohli in 2008 and Unmukt Chand in 2012 won the event for the country.
“I have hardly slept the last few days. My focus is on playing for the country, and I have set an 18-month time frame to achieve my goal.”
“I am not thinking much on Kohli and Chand as I want to remain humble and not think about the future too much,” he added.
