The cricket world has stories of bizzare dismissals and survivals. In order to minimise the umpiring errors, the ICC introduced a revolutionary DRS system. Meanwhile, a bizzare incident happened during the recently-concluded match between Queensland and Tasmania in the ongoing Women’s National Cricket League 2021-22.

Opening batter Georgia Voll survived even after getting clean bowled. The bails were dislodged on a fair delivery but the rivals didn’t appeal and she carried on with her batting. The incident happened in the 14th over of the first innings.

Belinda Vakarewa bowled a length delivery which went on to hit the stumps. However, the wicket-keeper didn’t realised that batter has been dismissed. Even the commentators couldn’t figure out what has happened.

The mystery was solved when the replay was shown on the screen.

Meanwhile, the blunder didn’t hurt Tasmania as Georgia Voll added another 5 runs in her overall score of 31. Queensland scored 223/6 in 48 overs and the rain curtailed match was easily won by Tasmania.
