Overview:
New Zealand have also made one change, giving Zak Foulkes a chance in place of Kyle Jamieson.
Ishan Kishan has been ruled out of the fourth T20I between India and New Zealand at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, on January 28. He has a niggle and was replaced by Arshdeep Singh in the playing XI, with India already 3-0 ahead in the series. Ishan has been sensational since returning to the team after two years. He has recorded scores of 8, 76 and 28 in the three games so far.
“We have one change with Ishan Kishan not playing as he has a niggle and Arshdeep Singh taking his place,” India captain Suryakumar Yadav said after winning the toss.
Suryakumar decided to bowl first due to the dew. “The wicket looks good, but we saw a lot of dew on the ground last evening. The ball comes nicely on the bat in the second innings, and the boys are charged up for the game,” he said.
New Zealand have also made one change, giving Zak Foulkes a chance in place of Kyle Jamieson.
“The wicket looks good, and you can already see dew on the ground. It is important to put runs on the board to challenge this quality Indian team. Most of the guys who are part of the World Cup squad are already here, and we expect similar wickets in the World Cup,” Mitchell Santner said.
