“We will bowl first. Nothing changes for us in terms of process. Our bowling group is making sure we take wickets. We have to restrict them and then chase down the total. Our batting has been great, but improvement is needed in the bowling department,” Ashleigh Gardner said.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Smriti Mandhana is not worried after losing the toss.
“Tosses are never in your hand. It is good to be tested in the initial phase of the tournament. DY Patil has been even in terms of bowling and batting. If we bat well, the toss will not matter. Our work ethics have been good, with girls hitting the gym and giving their all in the practice sessions. We play according to situations, and the players are free to execute their plans,” she said.
