India will square off against South Africa in the first Test of their two-match series, set to start at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata, starting Thursday, November 14. The series will then move to Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati for the second Test, starting November 22.
The tour comprises all formats, with two Test matches, three ODIs, and five T20Is, stretching across more than a month. After the traditional format, the ODIs will be played in Ranchi, Raipur, and Visakhapatnam on November 30, December 3, and December 6. The T20I leg will then take place in Cuttack, Mullanpur, Dharamshala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad from December 9 to 19.
India are coming off a solid 2-0 series win over the West Indies and a drawn Test series against England earlier this year. Shubman Gill’s squad will now aim to keep their winning form intact as they take on the reigning World Test Champions.
