West Indies captain Rovman Powell was injured trying to save a 5-year-old ball boy near the boundary rope. He avoided a potentially life-threatening collision and injured himself. The incident happened in the third over of the South Africa innings when Quinton de Kock hit the ball towards the long off boundary.

Powell, who was running after the ball and could have stopped it, saw a ball boy charging towards the delivery. He aborted the chase and crashed into the LED boards.

He was treated and took time to get back onto the field.

South Africa won the game by 6 wickets after successfully chasing a target of 259. Quinton de Kock scored a century. Earlier, Johnson Charles hit a ton for the visitors.
