India vice-captain KL Rahul spoke about the pain caused by their T20 World Cup loss to Pakistan but stated that they are starting from zero as far as the upcoming match in the Aia Cup 2022 is concerned.
“Losing any game in a World Cup hurts,” said Rahul in a press conference. “We wanted to win that game but failed as Pakistan outplayed us. We have the opportunity to play against them once again. The game starts from zero for us, and the last year’s defeat doesn’t count anymore,” he added.
Rahul said players have always been cordial off the field, but everyone wants to give their best for the team during the games.
“You take them as rivals, and I am sure Pakistan have the same viewpoint. I have played some of them in the U-19 World Cup and followed them. We learn from each other.”
