“Whenever Rohit bhai scold me, it has a lot of love. If he doesn’t scold me, there is a sense of uneasiness as to why he is not saying anything. Has he felt bad about something?” he told Aaj Tak.

Rohit is close to all the players, having spent years with them in international cricket. Even after leaving the captaincy, he is still respected by the current generation in the dressing room.

“We all feel relaxed when they are there. Rohit Bhai told me to relax in the third ODI. He was ready to take risks to allow me to settle down. Virat bhai told me to focus on small targets and said that we will have to win for ourselves,” he added.

Jaiswal is the backup opener in the ODIs as Rohit and Shubman Gill are the designated opening batters. However, having scored a hundred, Jaiswal will be a part of the plans in the near future.
