Virat Kohli is back to leading India in Test cricket and made an immediate impact with his strategies. After India scored 325 in the first innings of the ongoing Test in Mumbai, the bowlers wrapped up the Kiwi innings on a below-par score of 62.
Virat is the best skipper in Test cricket, without a doubt, as he has led India to victories in home and overseas conditions. Although New Zealand defeated India in the finale of the ICC World Test Championship, the sub-continent team has achieved a lot of success in the last four years.
He again showcased his qualities as a skipper on Day 2 of the Mumbai Test. With Mohammed Siraj’s tail up against the Kiwis after dismissing Will Young, Virat knew where Tom Latham would play his shot on the last ball of the Indian pacer’s second over. Before the delivery, Virat had asked Shreyas Iyer to go deep at square leg.
Latham hit the ball where Iyer was stationed, and the batter had to go back to the pavilion.
