India skipper Virat Kohli and his men are sweating hard in the nets as they gear up for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand, starting on June 18.

Indian players recently completed their mandatory quarantine period in the on-site hotel at the Ageas Bowl — the stadium in Southampton that will host the all-important clash.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday shared a glimpse of India’s latest training session in Southampton.

Captioning the post, BCCI wrote, “We have had our first group training session and the intensity was high #TeamIndia’s preparations are in full swing for the #WTC21 Final”.

In the video, the likes of Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Ravichandran Ashwin could be seen sweating it out in the nets ahead of the upcoming finale.

After the conclusion of the WTC final, India will lock horns with England in a five-match Test series which is scheduled to take place from August 4.

Notably, the Kane Williamson-led side will be heading into the forthcoming contest more accustomed to the English conditions as it is currently involved in a  two-match Test series against Joe Root-led side.

Meanwhile, Kohli & Co. haven’t played any competitive cricket since the postponement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 last month.
