Things turned nasty between Ambati Rayudu and Sheldon Jackson during one of the games of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite Group D game between Saurashtra and Baroda.

Jackson was batting when the incident happened during the 9th over of the Saurashtra’s innings. The batter went towards Rayudu after the latter said something to him.

The umpires and players had to separate the two to end the fight. Rayudu continued to argue with the umpires even after Jackson returned to the batting crease.

Rayudu was miffed as Sheldon was taking a lot of time to get ready to face the deliveries.

Earlier, Baroda scored 175/4 in 20 overs. While Mitesh Patel accumulated 60 off just 35 deliveries, Vishnu Solanki amassed 51 off 33 balls. Rayudu was dismissed on a golden duck by Jaydev Unadkat.
