Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian team is all set to travel Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many T20 Internationals, starting from July 13. In the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli and limited-overs vice-captain Rohit Sharma, Dhawan was appointed to lead the Men in Blue in the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
The Indian players are currently serving their mandatory 14-day quarantine period in Mumbai before flying out to Colombo on June 28.
Ahead of their departure to the island nation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently shared a video of Sanju Samson’s “quarantine life”.
Taking to its official Twitter handle, BCCI wrote, “Exercise routine, food preferences, book suggestions. DO NOT MISS as @IamSanjuSamson gives us a sneak peek into his quarantine life ahead of #TeamIndia’s Sri Lanka tour.”
Here’s see the clip:
Last month, Samson was named in India’s 20-member squad for the forthcoming series against Lankans. The wicketkeeper-batsman, who has already played 7 T20Is for India so far, is expected to make his ODI debut against Sri Lanka.
The 26-year-old cricketer was last seen in action during the 14th edition of Indian Premier League. Leading the Rajasthan Royals for the first time in his IPL career, Samson smashed 277 runs in 7 games at an impressive average of 46.16 and a strike rate of 145.78 before IPL 2021 was called off.
