Ranveer Singh's animated celebration becomes a viral symbol of undying loyalty for India

Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh stole the spotlight at the India vs Australia Cricket World Cup final in Ahmedabad, where the Indian cricket team faced a heartbreaking defeat. Despite being the favourites with a 10-match winning streak, the Rohit Sharma-led team fell short against the Australian side at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Deepika Padukone, were present at the stadium to witness the intense final. Among them, Ranveer Singh emerged as the most animated cheerleader for the Indian cricket team. A viral video caught him celebrating enthusiastically as India dismissed David Warner during Australia’s chase.

The match saw a promising start for India, with Rohit Sharma’s explosive 47 off 31 balls after Shubman Gill’s dismissal. However, the team struggled after his wicket and was eventually bundled out for 240 runs in 50 overs. On a challenging batting surface, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul played crucial innings.

Australia’s bowlers, led by Mitchell Starc with figures of 3/55, dominated the Indian batting lineup. Pat Cummins (2/34) and Josh Hazlewood (2/60) also made significant contributions, while Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell took a wicket each.

In the chase, India had Australia on the ropes at 47/3, but Travis Head’s brilliant knock of 137 off 120 balls and Marnus Labuschagne’s 58 off 110 balls guided Australia to a comfortable six-wicket victory.

The Indian team found themselves without answers as Australia clinched their sixth World Cup title.
