Not only did Virat Kohli-led India win the match, but the skipper also manage to win a toss after months on his 33rd birthday. Soon after India’s win over Scotland by eight wickets, the dressing was filled with birthday celebrations.

In a video shared by BCCI, Team India members can be seen celebrating the birthday of their captain with MS Dhoni leading the charge once again.

Dhoni can be seen lighting up the candles and assisting the skipper as the fun takes the front seat after serious action on the field.

In pics shared by Suryakumar Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy on Instagram, Kohli’s face had cake all over it.

When Virat Kohli was asked about the celebrations after winning against the rivals, he said – “I’m over that phase now. My wife and daughter are here and that celebration is enough, the family being here is a blessing in itself.”

Virat Kohli was a happy captain after India’s dominant performance.

” A dominating performance. It was something we were striving to do again. I don’t want to say too much about today because we know how we can play. These little things in T20 cricket (toss, conditions) matter and we’re glad to be back in our mojo. We spoke about 100-120 max but we restricted them to a total that allowed us to leapfrog everyone else. We spoke about finishing in the 8-10 over bracket. You don’t want to go in with a six-and-a-half or a seven-and-half run mark because then you’re doing too much. We gave that bracket and allowed them to get that momentum,” he said.
