Team India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored an unbeaten 175 in the first Test against Sri Lanka in Mohali. As he completed his 100, the southpaw immediately performed his famous sword celebration.
Jadeja’s teammate Mohammed Siraj also joined in, using a water bottle as a willow, as he cheered for the left-handed from the dugout.
Ravindra Jadeja began the day on 45 and batted beautifully before Rohit Sharma declared the innings with India scoring 574/8. He hit 17 fours and 3 sixes in his knock.
Apart from Jadeja, Rishabh Pant (96), R Ashwin (61), Hanuma Vihari (58) and Virat Kohli (45) also made useful contributions. Jadeja shared a partnership of more than 100 runs for the ninth wicket with Mohammed Shami (20 not out).
