Mohammed Siraj bowled a sensational spell of fast bowling in the first innings of the second Test against the West Indies. He took 4 wickets in no time on Day 4 to complete his second five-wicket haul in Test cricket as the hosts were bowled out for 255.
Siraj got rid of Joshua Da Silva, Jason Holder, Alzarri Joseph, Kemar Roach and Shannon Gabriel to dismantle the rivals batting line-up.
He was assisted by debutant Mukesh Kumar, who took two wickets in his maiden innings. While Ravindra Jadeja added two scalps, Ravichandran Ashwin got one. The visitors took a lead of 183 runs with almost two days to go.
Earlier, Virat Kohli’s 29th Test century took the Indian team to 438. Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jadeja and Ashwin hit fifties.
