Pat Cummins, who is one of the best fast bowlers in modern-day cricket, has turned 28 on Saturday and wishes have been pouring in from all corners.

On the special occasion, Cummins has received a heart-warming wish from his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammates.

The Kolkata-based franchise recently took to its official Twitter handle and posted a video in which all the KKR stars including the likes of Andre Russell, Eoin Morgan, and Prasidh Krishna can be seen extending their best wishes for the Australian bowler on his 28th birthday.

Former KKR skipper, Dinesh Karthik, even backed Cummins to lead the Australian cricket team in near future.

“I think in KKR, we are lucky to have a player like you, one of the best being going around in the world. Wish you a very happy birthday. I genuinely wish you soon become an Australian captain. I think you have all the skill sets to do it. Wish you all the very best,” Karthik said in a video.

The Australian speedster was last seen in action during the 14th edition of Indian Premier League before the tournament was postponed due to rising cases of novel coronavirus.

Cummins, along with other Australian players and support staff members, is currently in Maldives, serving the quarantine period as Australia has imposed a travel ban on all commercial flights from India until May 15.
