Harshal Patel took a sensational hat-trick against the defending champions, Mumbai Indians, in the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League. Patel dismissed Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, and Rahul Chahar in the first three balls of the 16th over to join the elite list of bowlers. He is the 17th bowler to get a hat-trick in the history of the Indian Premier League.
Mumbai needed 61 off 24 balls with Kieron Pollard and Hardik Pandya at the crease. However, the RCB pacer dented Mumbai’s hopes in a couple of balls. Hardik was the first one to depart followed by Kieron Pollard and Rahul Chahar. While Hardik was caught by Virat, the ball crashed in stumps in the case of Pollard. Rahul was trapped in front of the stumps.
RCB won the game by 54 runs in the end. Apart from Harshal, Yuzvendra Chahal also bowled well. He took three important wickets to keep Mumbai on the back-foot
