Fans chanted "Jai Sree Ram" as Mohammad Rizwan was walking back to the pavilion after getting out

Fervent Fans chanted “Jai Shree Ram” as Mohammad Rizwan walked back to the pavilion after his dismissal in the India vs Pakistan 2023 World Cup match at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, and the video went viral on social media.

The clash, which saw India emerge victorious by seven wickets, witnessed a dramatic turn of events as Pakistan, batting first, crumbled from 155/2 to a total of 191 all out. The once-promising innings unraveled with the loss of eight wickets for a mere 36 runs.

Pakistan’s skipper, Babar Azam, led the scoring for his team with a brave 50 off 58 balls, while Rizwan scored a crucial 49 off 69 deliveries. The partnership between the two, adding 82 runs for the third wicket, appeared promising before the team faced a sudden setback.
Mohammed Siraj’s delivery claimed the wicket of Babar, while Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Rizwan.

As Rizwan made his way back to the pavilion post-dismissal, a distinct section of the crowd at the Narendra Modi Stadium passionately directed “Jai Shree Ram” chants towards him. Despite the vocal expression, Rizwan maintained his composure, choosing not to react, and continued walking.
