Ireland almost defeated India in the second T20I. However, they fell short by 4 runs while chasing 226. Indian bowlers were all over the place. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Harshal Patel leaked 100 runs combined in their eight overs.
Meanwhile, one notable change in the match was Ravi Bishnoi, who replaced Yuzvendra Chahal. Bishnoi bowled his full quota picking up a single wicket and conceded 41 runs. The 21-year-old could have had his 2nd scalp had he not overstepped when he got rid of Andrew Balbirnie. Although, that was not the only instance in the match when the camera focused on Chahal. The other was when Chahal came to the field as a substitute and donned a beanie.
Chahal fielding with a beanie on his head left the fans in splits and they took to social media to share their hilarious reactions.
It is a known fact that Chahal doesn’t like cold conditions. He made it clear after the first T20I when he said he was on the pitch with three sweaters.
Nevertheless, the fans showed no mercy and trolled the 31-year-old.
A fan hilariously compared Chahal to a typical Indian uncle who shivers each time he visits a chilly region.
Meanwhile, a native fan poked Chahal for feeling cold at Malahide (the location for the series). He further suggested that the Indian spinner should visit Bready, a much chillier place than Malahide.
