Australia have got off to a flying start against Pakistan, as openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh stitched an unbeaten 100 runs stand within 12 overs.
Warner completed his fifty in 39 balls and was hitting bowlers all over the park. So far, the southpaw has hit four sixes. However, he became the talk of the town as he smashed Haris Rauf’s 145 kmph delivery for a six playing his favourite lap shot.

It was a 98-metre hit that hit the roof of the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Warner’s six is also the 2nd biggest maximum of this World Cup, only behind Shreyas Iyer, who hit a 101 six. Here is the video of Warner’s shot.
David Warner was dropped early on in the game by Osama Mir, which has proved costly for Pakistan. It was not the only time that Warner hit Rauf for a six, but a few overs later, he smashed Haris for a similar maximum. Notably, Rauf has leaked 47 runs in his three overs.
Australia are in dire need of a win as they are placed 6th on the table with just one win in three games.
