The right-handed batter, who is leading Sussex, has hit the second successive hundred of the competition.

Cheteshwar Pujara donned a completely contrasting hat to his defensive personality and smashed 22 runs in an over playing for Sussex.

The 34-year-old captained Sussex in their outing against Warwickshire in the Royal London One-Day Cup. The flurry of boundaries happened in the 45th over when seamer Liam Norwell came in to attack.

Sussex were in dire need of runs while chasing 311. They required 70 runs in 36 balls, which is when Pujara unleashed his never seen avatar and left the fans’ jaws wide open.

The Indian star set aside his defensive skillset and smashed three fours and a solitary six in the over.

The Sussex Cricket took to Twitter to share the video of Pujara’s brilliant batting.

Pujara scored a brilliant century and almost sealed the deal for the team but fell short of the target by four runs.

Nevertheless, the Indian fans were excited to see this once-in-a-blue-moon occurrence. Several fans even demanded the selectors consider Pujara for the upcoming T20I World Cup as he has been in great form for Sussex.

Others were shocked to see this side of him and felt awkward seeing Pujara play such shots.

However, a section of fans showed no mercy on the bowler and trolled him brutally.

Tweets asked the bowler to retire, while some asked him to bury himself.
