Kiwi all-rounder James Neesham had mocked Team India after DRS saved Tom Latham on the second day of the first Test in Kanpur. Wasim Jaffer took to Twitter to give a befitting reply to Neesham. Latham scored an unbeaten fifty off 165 balls to put his team in the driving seat at the end of day’s play.
However, he was given out by the on-field umpire during the 56th over of Kiwi’s innings. Ashwin had appealed for caught behind. The decision was overturned by the third umpire after finding that no bat was involved.
“If Tom Latham goes on to score a century, India might go back to refusing to use DRS at home,” wrote Jimmy Neesham.
Jaffer hit back at Neesham in style. He posted a picture of umpire Kumar Dharmasena and clubbed it with a meme. The caption of his post read, “We like DRS Jimmy, both the system and the human.” The picture of the famous umpire from Sri Lanka showed, ‘Hello I’m, Dharmasena, friends call me DRS’ written on it.
