India dropped Sanju Samson from the second ODI against New Zealand. The management has been slammed for their decision, as Samson played well in the series’ first game.
The lack of a sixth bowler and all-rounders in the team is impacting the squad’s balance.
Former India player Wasim Jaffer has taken a dig at Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravi Shastri, Rahul Dravid, and selectors for not backing the players who were considered all-round options.
Venkatesh Iyer, Krunal Pandya, Shivam Dube, and Vijay Shankar were not preferred by the team management and the selection committee members after a few ordinary performances.
Jaffer didn’t take any names, but the captains and coaches handled the management part.
“Sanju was dropped despite playing well cos we don’t have enough all-rounders and part-time options. My two cents on why there’s a dearth of all-rounders and part-timers,” he wrote.
