VVS Laxman
Laxman likely to coach India for T20I series against Australia

India have had a dream-like start in this ICC World Cup, as they have won five out of five matches so far. It is the last tournament for Rahul Dravid, who will run out of his contract after this World Cup.

The 50-year-old can reapply for the head coach’s position, but after this World Cup, India will play Australia in a five-match T20I series at home. For that, VVS Laxman is likely to travel with the Men in Blue as their head coach.

Laxman, who is the head of NCA, has travelled with India on several occasions in Rahul Dravid’s absence. The recent reports suggest that he is likely to be the next coach for India, in case Rahul Dravid isn’t re-appointed.

Even if Laxman is not appointed as the next head coach, he is likely to travel with the team, because the current batch including the support staff will be given rest after a hectic World Cup schedule.
