With the ICC World T20 2021 in full flow, a cricket fan asked former India opener Virender Sehwag to predict the winner of the global event. Known for always speaking his mind, he backed India to win the event in the UAE.
India were defeated by Pakistan in their opening match of the campaign. Virat Kohli-led team lost the match by 10 wickets in Dubai.
“According to me, it’s Team India who will win this T20 World Cup. They’ll only have to play better cricket here onwards. We always cheer for our team when it wins but when it loses we have to support it even more. So, I believe that India can win the T20 World Cup,” Sehwag said. Team India were outclassed by arch-rivals Pakistan in their World Cup opener at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday.
India will next face New Zealand in a must-win match and a defeat in this upcoming game would end the Men in Blue’s chance to qualify for the playoffs.
