Former Delhi Ranji Trophy cricketer and Virat Kohli’s childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma has suggested the former India captain to return to his roots in Delhi and work on his game to get back in form.
His fans were expecting to see him among runs in the recently concluded two-match Test series against Sri Lanka but he registered the highest score of 45 in the series.
Speaking on the YouTube podcast ‘Khelneeti’, Rajkumar Sharma how well Virat has performed whenever he has returned to the academy and worked on his game.
“I want him to come back to the academy. I was thinking about it and will speak to him. The kind of confidence he gets in the academy, he needs it.”
“Virat Kohli is batting well but he is getting too cautious. If he starts batting freely like he has his entire career then soon he will be back to his best. On such wickets you need to play aggressively like Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer.”
