The legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar has backed the 33-year old to achieve an extraordinary landmark on his milestone game for India.

Virat Kohli was dealing in centuries and looked unstoppable across formats. However, he has been waiting for his 71st century for more than two years. Several fans and cricket experts want the right-handed to end his drought in 2022.

Harsha Bhogle wants to see Virat of 2016, a year where he broke several records in international cricket and IPL.

“In 2022, I would love to see at least a glimpse of Virat Kohli from 2016-2018,”Harsha Bhogle said on Sunandan Lele’s show Cricket and Beyond when asked of his expectations from 2022.

Meanwhile, Virat is expected to make a return for the third Test of the series after missing the second due to back spasm. His absence impacted India’s performance and the visitors lost the match by seven wickets.
