India have been blessed with many world-class batters in T20 cricket.

Virat Kohli stunned everyone when he stepped down as Test captain. The 33-year-old took to social media to announce his decision and added that he did his job with complete honesty. Furthermore, the right-handed batter thanked the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for allowing him to lead the Indian side.

Virat Kohli also thanked the former head coach, Ravi Shastri, and MS Dhoni.

“To Ravi Bhai and the support group who were the engine behind this vehicle that consistently moved us upwards in Test Cricket, you all have played a massive role in bringing this vision to life. Lastly, a big thank you to MS Dhoni who believed in me as a Captain and found me to be an able individual who could take Indian Cricket forward,” he wrote.
