Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli has hit two consecutive hundreds in the ongoing three-match series against South Africa.

Overview:

Kohli's last List A match for Delhi was in September 2013. He played in the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, with India Blue and India Red being the other two teams.

Virat Kohli is ready to play domestic cricket for Delhi in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy. The DDCA has confirmed the development. Kohli, 37, is only active in one-day internationals for the Men in Blue, and since the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has instructed the contracted players to compete in domestic tournaments, Kohli will represent Delhi when the competition starts on December 24.

“He will definitely be a part of a few games, but not sure about the entire Vijay Hazare Trophy,” DDCA secretary Ashok Sharma told ESPNcricinfo. “It will also depend on his matches for India.”

Kohli recently scored his 52nd ODI century in the series opener against South Africa in Ranchi, and was named the Player of the Match for amassing 135, laced with 11 boundaries and seven sixes.

The ongoing series will finish on December 6 in Visakhapatnam. Kohli will have enough time before the Vijay Hazare Trophy starts in Ahmedabad. However, it is not confirmed if he will play seven league matches for Delhi, which are scheduled to take place till January 8, just three days before the start of the New Zealand ODI series.

Delhi’s five matches are in Alur, which is near Bengaluru, and the other two at the renowned M Chinnaswamy Stadium, which is Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s home ground.

Kohli’s last List A match for Delhi was in September 2013. He played in the NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, with India Blue and India Red being the other two teams. The last time Kohli took part in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was in the 2009-10 season.
