Virat Kohli scored just 18 runs in the second ODI against West Indies at the Narendra Modi stadium, but he achieved another milestone in his career. He has amassed the most ODI runs after 250 innings.
The former India skipper has scored 12311 runs at an average of 58.35. Sourav Ganguly is second on the list with 9609 runs.
Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, and MS Dhoni are also among the top run-getters.
Earlier, Nicholas Pooran won the toss for the West Indies and sent India in to bat Wednesday as his team chases a victory it needs in the second one-day international to level the three-match series.
Pooran was leading the West Indies in the absence of Kieron Pollard, who was ruled out because of injury. Odean Smith replaced Pollard in the bowling attack in the only change to the West Indies starting XI.
India also made just one change to the lineup, which won the series opener by six wickets with 22 overs to spare, bringing in Lokesh Rahul to replace Ishan Kishan.
