Virat Kohli opined on his 30th fifty in T20Is. The former India captain scored 52 off 41 balls in the second match of the series at the Eden Gardens.
Virat hit 1 six and 7 fours in his phenomenal knock and looked set for a big one before he was dismissed by Roston Chase. When he was asked about his knock, the veteran said – “I felt good from the start and played my shots. I was in a better mental space and I am happy that I contributed in team’s score.”
Kohli lauded Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer for their aggressive batting. While Pant scored an unbeaten 52 off just 28 balls, Iyer amassed 33 of 18 balls.
“Rishabh and Iyer played really well. Their aggressive batting took us to a good total in the end,” said Virat.
When he was asked whether 186 would be enough to stop the Windies from winning the game, the 33-year old said – “I think so. We have enough runs on the board.”
